The project involves the design and development of the Customer Management System for Vimal Agencies, Mumbai.

This multi-user system can capture and store the detailed data for all kind of customers, vendors, prospective clients, employees, distributors and other contacts such as friends as well as relatives. 

A very complex and extensive filtering capability has been developed.

The system enables the users to create, send, refer to and follow up all type of business as well as personal correspondence letters with any of the contacts available in the system. This is a completely integrated system, which gives the reminders for the follow-ups and also communicates directly with the email programs. Various types of brochures and other related business information can be sent automatically to all the customers satisfying the specified criteria.

The system also provides the security checks, user permissions on each and every operation, and the built-in backup/ restore facility.

The version 2.0 of the software is currently being developed. The version 2.0 will enable the tracking of sample stock, dispatch details, sales information, sales projections, customer visits, competitors’ business and will include many more reports.

This project involves the development of a multi-user import tracking system to completely track the process of importing the material, right from placing the enquiry to the supplier to confirm the PO to track the invoices, documents, shipments, license status to warehousing as well as keeping track of the stock. 

The challenge was to convert the long, tedious, multi-stage manual process spanning over more than two months involving many physical documents as well as the electronic spread-sheets and keeping track of the e-mail, fax as  well as snail-mail correspondence to a completely integrated and automated system.

The system implements the data warehousing of the entire process at one center place, generates intelligent reports including the Import Status report, Import Summary report, Product Stock report as well as various alerts to avoid the delay in the entire process.

The system smoothly integrates with and leverages the benefits of the tools like Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook as well as print, email and fax functions.
